The Country Club of the Poconos golf course opened for play in 1992. The course was designed by Jim Fazio.
The Country Club of the Poconos is a mountain style course with narrow fairways that are lined with thick woods and wetlands. The greens are fast and putt true.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 5902 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4650 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 504 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 14, a par-3 that plays to 187 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 9, a 379 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Country Club of the Poconos golf course is # 17, a 338 yard par-4. Hole #4, a 322-yard, par 4, is reachable off the tee for longer hitters, but everyone else needs to lay-up in front of wetlands, then carry the hazard to reach the small green.
